Chuma Wildfire and Conservation Service’s management team have more than 100 years collective experience in veldfire (forest fire) management in South Africa, particularly related to fire planning, Risk Assesment and Fire investigation.
It is our vision to attribute to biodiversity conservation and safe wildfire management for all concerned in the different fields.
We are passionate about the safe management of wildfires through the reduction of fuel loads as preventative measures and the safe management of operations, with the correct equipment and trained personnel. Conservation of our natural resources is a passion of all members and forms an integral part of the company.

The Greater Cederberg Fire Protection Association (GCFPA) helps landowners to prevent, manage and suppress wildfires by practising Integrated Fire Management (IFM). We aim to protect lives, livelihoods, property and the environment.
The International Association of Wildland Fire (IAWF) is uniquely positioned as an independent organization whose membership includes experts in all aspects of Wildland fire management. IAWF independence and breadth of global membership expertise allows it to offer a neutral forum for the consideration of important, at times controversial, Wildland fire issues.
Our unique membership and organization allow the IAWF to creatively apply a full range of Wildland fire knowledge to perform its stated mission.
